Top 10 Most Asked Questions
HALSTON Tire Guard is a professional Tire Protection Technology that upgrades standard tubeless tires from the inside. A protective material is applied evenly beneath the tread area, creating a self-sealing layer designed to protect against common tread punctures.
If a nail, screw or similar object enters the tread, the protective material seals tightly around the puncture path and helps prevent air loss. When the object is removed, the material closes the opening from inside the tire.
Standard yellow material and black cold-climate material are designed to seal tread punctures up to 8 mm. Blue ST-70 high-performance material provides protection up to 12 mm.
No. The protective material is applied to the inner tread area only. Sidewall punctures, cuts and structural damage are not covered.
No, when installed correctly. Each tire size receives a standardized amount of material that is applied evenly, and the tire is balanced normally after treatment.
It is not injected through the valve. The material is applied to the inner tread area away from the valve and TPMS components, so it is not designed to interfere with TPMS when installed correctly.
The treatment is designed to remain active for the working life of the tire. A common reference is approximately 80,000 km, depending on tire condition, roads, load and driving style.
Yellow is the standard formulation for normal and warm climates. Black is designed for very cold and severe winter conditions. Blue ST-70 is the high-performance version and provides protection for tread punctures up to 12 mm.
HL-150 is generally the best starting point for smaller shops, pilot projects and lower production volume. HL-190 is suited to growing operations, while HL-420 is designed for larger-volume production, fleets and regional centers. See the full packages on the pricing page.
Dealer and distributor opportunities are available in many markets. The structure depends on territory, investment level, business plan, annual machine and material volume, and market-development commitment. For serious inquiries, contact HALSTON directly to discuss the best setup for your market.
How HALSTON Tire Guard Works
HALSTON Tire Guard is a professional Tire Protection Technology that upgrades standard tubeless tires from the inside. A protective material is applied evenly to the inner tread area, creating a self-sealing layer designed to protect against common tread punctures.
The tire is removed from the rim, the inside tread area is cleaned, and HALSTON protective material is applied evenly while the tire rotates on the spraying machine. The tire is then mounted and balanced normally. If a nail or screw penetrates the tread, the material seals around the puncture.
No. The tire is removed from the rim and the material is professionally applied directly to the inside of the tread area.
It is applied directly to the inner surface underneath the tread area. It does not cover the sidewalls.
The material surrounds the object and helps prevent air from escaping. When the object is removed, the material seals the puncture path from inside the tire.
No. It forms a firm, stable layer attached to the inside of the tread area. It is not a loose liquid moving around inside the tire.
No. HALSTON Tire Guard is a professional workshop treatment. The tire is removed, prepared, treated internally, mounted and balanced. It is not poured or injected through the valve.
For supported tread punctures, the material is designed to provide long-term sealing rather than only temporary emergency protection. Serious damage should still be inspected by a tire professional.
Yes, provided the puncture is within the supported tread area and there is no serious structural damage. Normal tire inspection and maintenance should still continue.
Tire Compatibility & Protection
HALSTON Tire Guard is designed for suitable tubeless tires.
Yes. The technology can be used for motorcycles, passenger cars, SUVs, pickups, vans, off-road vehicles, buses and trucks.
Yes. New tubeless tires can be treated before sale and stored as protected inventory.
Yes, provided the tire is still in suitable condition. The tire should be inspected before treatment.
Standard yellow material and black cold-climate material are designed to seal tread punctures up to 8 mm. Blue ST-70 high-performance material provides protection up to 12 mm.
No. HALSTON Tire Guard protects the tread area only. Sidewall punctures, cuts and structural damage are not covered.
Yes, provided the puncture is within the supported size and located in the tread area.
Compatibility depends on the specific tire construction and manufacturer requirements. For run-flat tires, we recommend confirming the tire specification with our technical team before treatment.
Yes, suitable tubeless winter tires can be treated. For very cold climates, the black Frigid Condition material is generally the better option.
Motorcycles and scooters up to 20″, passenger cars and SUVs up to 22″, and commercial truck and bus tires up to a 24.5″ rim — including large sizes such as 11R24.5, 285/75R24.5, 325/95R24 and 425/65R22.5.
Driving, Safety & Performance
No, when installed correctly. Each tire size receives a standardized amount of material, which is applied evenly. The tire is then balanced normally.
It should not when the correct quantity is applied and the tire is properly balanced.
It is not injected through the valve and is applied to the inner tread area away from the valve and TPMS components, so it is not designed to interfere with TPMS when installed correctly.
The tire remains a normal air-filled tire and is mounted and balanced in the usual way. When applied correctly, the system is not designed to create a noticeable change in normal driving behavior.
It depends on tire size. Passenger tires typically use approximately 1.0 kg to 2.6 kg of material. Motorcycle tires use less, while truck and bus tires use more.
Yes. It forms a stable layer bonded to the inner tread area.
Yes, when the tire is suitable for the vehicle, correctly treated, mounted and balanced.
HALSTON offers different formulations for different climates. Standard material is suitable for normal and warmer climates, while the black Frigid Condition version is designed for colder environments.
It is designed to remain active for the working life of the tire. A common reference is approximately 80,000 km, depending on the tire, road conditions, load and driving style.
Yes. HALSTON Tire Guard does not replace normal tire maintenance, pressure checks, tread inspections or professional inspection after serious damage.
ST Protective Material
It is HALSTON's specially developed polymer material that is professionally applied to the inside of the tire underneath the tread area.
Yellow is the standard formulation for most normal and warm climates. Black is designed for colder and severe winter conditions. Blue ST-70 is the high-performance version and provides protection for tread punctures up to 12 mm.
For normal or hot climates, yellow is usually the standard choice. For very cold climates, black is generally recommended. Blue is the premium high-performance option.
The standard system is designed for a wide operating range, approximately -40°C to +140°C, depending on formulation and application conditions.
Approximately 5 years when sealed and stored correctly.
It should be stored sealed, in a dry environment and protected from unsuitable heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Detailed storage instructions are provided in the technical documentation.
It depends on tire size. For example, a 16-inch passenger tire uses approximately 1.2 kg, while a 20-inch tire uses approximately 1.9 kg.
Yes. Larger tires have a larger inner tread area, so they require more material.

Yes. DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is available on request for confirmed orders. Because each DDP quote is tailored to your exact destination — covering freight, insurance, import duties and taxes — we put it together once you are ready to move ahead. To explore your options and get started, we are happy to quote FCA or FOB first, then prepare your full DDP landed-cost quotation when you decide to proceed.
Under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), we take on the full obligation defined by the international Incoterms rules — we handle and pay for export, international freight, import duties and customs clearance to get your order to your address. As each DDP quote is tailored to your specific destination, we prepare it once you are ready to go ahead with your order. What remains outside our control is what happens in transit once the shipment leaves our manufacturing centre: sailing schedules, port congestion, customs inspections and similar delays. We plan carefully around these, but transit timing itself cannot be guaranteed.
We normally require company name, full company address, delivery address, contact person, phone or WhatsApp number, email and preferred destination or port. Send yours through the contact form.
Payment is by bank transfer (T/T), with the split scaled to order value. Orders under $20,000 USD are paid 100% in advance. Orders from $20,001 to $50,000 are split 50% deposit and 50% balance. Orders over $50,000 are split 30% deposit and 70% balance. In every case, the balance is due before the machines ship from the factory — once they are built and ready for dispatch.
Typical preparation is approximately 7 to 21 working days after payment confirmation, depending on machine configuration, stock and order size.
